The bottom cut will allow your Mr. Potato Head to stand on a flat surface on his own. The top cut prepares his head for the green hair! | Next, use the spoon to dig out a place for his hair (on the top). The hole should be about 1 inch deep, but not all the way to the edges (leave a rim). Fill the cavity with a little soil and sprinkle grass seed in it. Keep it moist. In a few days, you will see his hair start to grow. | To make Mr. Potato Head's face, you can poke whole cloves into the potato, or..... | You can cut circles out of black and white felt for the eyes. Cut out a lip pattern in red felt, with white felt teeth. Then, glue them onto the side of your potato. You could get creative and come up with different facial features, too. Make a potato monster, perhaps. You can even use scissors to trim his green hair. |
